Mapped provides APIs to enable developers to create applications that access authorized location data from the Mapped Cloud. By accessing the Mapped APIs, you agree to this API Use Policy. Additional Terms may apply.
In order to sign up for Mapped, you will need to provide accurate identification information including name, email address, and phone number details. You agree not to misrepresent your identity or any other information provided or yourself, your organization, or your users. It is your responsibility to safeguard your account information, including keeping account login information and API keys private. If you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account, please immediately contact Mapped support via support.mapped.com.
You agree to only access the API utilizing an authorized token. If you build an integration, your users must login to your integration and authorize it before a token can be generated. You will not prompt users of your integration to directly provide you with their Mapped username or password.
Mapped provides developer support through support.mapped.com. Our standard hours of support are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. PT. not including weekend and public holidays. After hours and weekend support may be available for outages or high severity issues as per the Mapped API SLA policy.
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, Mapped developers agree:
In addition, you certify that you and all members and roles of your company, including contractors or subsidiaries:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Mapped account login information and API keys. In the event you identify any security breach, you must contact us immediately. You will not publish or distribute your Mapped login information or your API key(s) and must encrypt this information in transit and at rest.
In addition, you will implement the appropriate level of security necessary to protect the privacy and integrity of Mapped data. These security measures must prevent the unauthorized access or disclosure of Mapped data, including user data and building data. You must monitor your systems for any unauthorized access. If any security breaches or deficiencies are identified that expose Mapped data, you must immediately notify Mapped support via support.mapped.com and work with Mapped to promptly resolve the issue.
Any Mapped data stored outside of Mapped servers for use by your application, even if belonging only to buildings within your portfolio, must be encrypted and stored in a secure fashion and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
If you elect to no longer utilize the Mapped API, you may deactivate your account by contacting support via support.mapped.com. Mapped holds the right to deactivate your account if a signed agreement or contract expires or if invoices become past due. After account deactivation, we will terminate your access to Mapped resources, including the API. Mapped will retain any information collected about you for as long as needed per the terms of our privacy policy and as allowed by applicable laws and regulations.
You will not enable or assist any third party in any of the following:
We may throttle your use of the API to protect the platform or to prevent perceived cost overrun on your behalf (i.e. your application appears to be generating unexpected and excessive calls that are increasing your billed usage). Applications with issues unrelated to volume of requests may be disabled if deemed necessary.
We also reserve the right to disable any account access or access to the API should we believe Mapped is being accessed or used in violation of this policy or any agreements, including agreements Mapped holds with any third party vendors or data sources.
Mapped will use all reasonable effort to contact you through any/all listed contact methods in order to inform you of the measures taken and work with you to restore normal access. We will however disable or suspend access without notice if deemed necessary to protect Mapped or Mapped vendors and data sources.
Mapped reserves the right to update or modify the APIs, and this policy, as needed. Any changes will be preceded by notification, whether publicly on our website or through direct means such as email. These changes may impact your use of the API or the way your integration interacts with the API and may require code modifications in order for your application to continue functioning correctly.
In an emergency or critical failure, Mapped may modify or suspend the API with minimal or no notice to resolve the situation but will provide reasonable explanation for the modification or suspension.
Mapped may on occasion provide access to trial new features or beta test new releases. You will have the right to accept or deny access to any betas or trials. Mapped will not have any liability for issues encountered during a beta or trial if the issue is related specifically to the beta or trial.
If you or anyone in your company becomes aware of a violation of this policy, please contact [email protected] immediately. We will take any action deemed necessary, including suspending account or API access, as well as contacting relevant legal and government authorities.
